FAQ Category: Your first call

You and your guests can use any combination of the dial in numbers available at www.247meeting.com/numbers to join a conference call. We generally recommend you choose the number closest to your current location; but there’s nothing to stop you from dialling into the Tokyo number from your Dublin office, while your London guest dials into the Frankfurt number and your Italian guest dials into the San Jose number.

It is possible for more than one person to dial into the conference using the Host code. The first Host to dial in will stop the hold music and allow the conference to start. Please note we actively discourage sharing host codes for security reasons.

The conference cannot begin until the Host arrives. All Guests will hear hold music until the host arrives.

If you dial into a Conference as a Guest you will have fewer privileges than if you dial in as a Host. The most important of these is that a Conference Call will stay on hold until at least one Host has dialled into the conference. Additionally, only a Host is able to use the DTMF commands. For security reasons, it is important not to share your Host code with any of your colleagues. Should they require a conference call they can be set up with their own details in a matter of minutes – at absolutely no extra cost.

You can retrieve your Host and Guest PIN codes by logging into MyAdmin. They are displayed on the landing page of your online account, under ‘Audio Conferencing’.

Description Once you sign up for your Free Trial you will be emailed your unique set of Host and Guest PIN codes. You can use these PIN codes to access our ‘on demand’ service using any of our worldwide numbers. As the service is on demand you don’t need to take any action except to agree to a time to hold the Conference Call with your participants.

We also offer a scheduling service at www.conferencecall.ie if this better suits your requirements.
